chain lightning posted a video of the championship point of the open club finals. here's what the upa told me about videos of the full games:

"we are in the process right now uploading 30-minute compilations with voice-overs for each of the four finals games from sarasota. they should be available on the website shortly (end of week). there is a chance that we’ll have streams of the entire games available at a later date. the dvds should be available before the holidays from ultivillage but they will not include the full games."

well, it was a pretty crazy sunday at border brawl. carleton lost 10-11 to iowa, then lost 7-10 to minnesota and lost a chance at the finals. minnesota also managed to beat wisconsin 10-11, which put them at a 6-1 record. interestingly, their one lost was against luther who lost all 6 of their other games. wisconsin also lost to colorado, 11-10. a ton of games decided by one point this weekend. this put minnesota (6-1) in the finals against colorado (5-2, head-to-head win against wisconsin). in the finals, colorado beat minnesota 11-8. at wilmington 8s, pittsburgh went 7-0 and played cornell (5-2, head-to-head win against florida). at least i was right about something. pittsburgh won the finals 15-13. also, tennessee beat florida 7-11 for third place. pretty wild weekend for college ultimate.

the first day is over at border brawl. there were some minor "upsets", but it's hard to say for sure this early in the season. minnesota beat colorado 10-9 and wisconsin beat carleton 11-10. carleton beat colorado 11-10, so it will most likely be wisconsin and carleton in the finals. at wilmington 8s the 1 seed pittsburgh went 4-0 and played the 2 and 3 seeds. they'll probably be in the finals, but it's tough to say who they will play. it should be whoever wins their first 3 games tomorrow out of cornell, virginia, florida, or tennessee. in other news, if you like polls, you're going to love what i just added over on the right side! it's a poll.
